  • Product Description
  • Power cables are cables used for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy. They are commonly employed in urban underground power grids, outgoing lines from power plants, and internal power supply systems within industrial and mining enterprises. Power cables are cable products designed for the main transmission and distribution lines in power systems, capable of handling high-power electrical energy at various voltage levels ranging from 1 kV to 500 kV and above, and available in a variety of insulation types.

    I. Product Name/Applicable Voltage

    (0.6/1kV): Cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cable

    Main raw materials: copper and aluminum conductors, cross-linked (XLPE) insulation, PVC jacket.

    II. Product Implementation Standards

    The cable design complies with the requirements of the national standard GB/T12706-2008 and the International Electrotechnical Commission’s recommended standard IEC60502.

    III. Product Applications

    The normal operating temperature of the conductor in cross-linked polyethylene insulated cables is 90℃. Cross-linked polyethylene cables not only exhibit excellent electrical performance, with high operating temperatures and large transmission capacities, but also boast advantages such as simple construction, small outer diameter, light weight, convenient installation and use, and no restrictions on installation height differences. They are widely used in industrial and mining enterprises as well as urban power grids.

    IV. Scope of Application

    Scope of application for power cables: These cables can be laid indoors, outdoors, in conduits, cable trenches, and loose soil. They can withstand certain pulling forces during installation but cannot endure significant mechanical external forces. Single-core cables must not be laid in magnetic conduits.

    V. Product Usage Characteristics

    1. The ambient temperature during installation shall not be lower than 0℃ (if the temperature is below 0℃, the cable should be preheated). There is no restriction on the cable’s vertical drop.
    2. The minimum bending radius for installation is specified as follows: - Unarmored single-core cable: 20D; - Unarmored three-core cable: 15D; - Armored single-core cable: 15D; - Armored three-core cable: 12D; (where D represents the actual outer diameter of the cable)
    3. Operating temperature of the cable: The polyvinyl chloride jacket shall not exceed 90℃;
    4. Overload temperature: When the cable is short-circuited, the overload temperature shall not exceed 130℃;
    5. The rated temperature of the cable conductor shall not exceed 90℃, and during a short circuit (lasting no more than 5 seconds), the conductor temperature shall not exceed 25℃.
